NO HAY UN CENTRO, SÓLO DAR LA VUELTA
Allan Villavicencio has defined his plastic language by experimenting with the limits of pictorial practice, exploring the possibilities of his systems with a color palette altered by the incorporation of different layers and affectations to the canvas; but also from the way in which his work is installed within the exhibition space, in a sort of "long-breath" study on the ways of seeing painting tested by different artistic traditions. His visual narratives are constructed from patterns of aesthetic behavior found in everyday space, which allow him to build modules and select chromatic elements with which he incorporates into his work peculiar forms of the environment that are not codified in the classical tradition of the field of painting.
