The Chapuisat Brothers realize works on the borders of monumental sculpture and micro architecture. The installations they built with a peculiar method for each case are specific to one place most of the time and by this way are ephemeral.
Gregory was born in 1972 and Cyril in 1976. They both live and work in Geneva.
"Our constructions transform space by inverting external and internal links and playing on the perception of a subjective reality. These environments break with visual and intellectual habit, test their explorers by forcing them into believing in their meaning. These installations are often compared to cocoons or terriers and harbor outstanding powers." Their work has been exhibited in solo and collective shows such as Les éléments in the Centre culturel Suisse of Paris and also in the Jardin des Tuileries during the FIAC in 2014 and Jumping Bean in 2009.
